Rather than try and explain what a development can look like in a 3D Model and what advantages they bring, here are a few video examples of Industry Sector developments for you to view, and even some FREE models to download so you can get a REAL FEEL for what they can show.

Video Format

This section shows 3D Models in VIDEO FORMAT (avi, mp4, mpeg, etc) that can be sent and viewed by a Client on P.C., tablet or phone, used as a backdrop video at stakeholder consultations, or, as here, uploaded to YouTube.

FREE ‘Flyable’ Model Downloads

This section contains FREE, 3D ‘flyable’ models that can be downloaded by you. The models are in the 3D VIRTUAL MODEL format (.LVM) that you will receive in a compressed ZIP file. Once downloaded, and installed, follow the instructions on the user guide (pdf) provided. You will be able to explore the model and decide whether a similar 3D Model of YOUR development could be beneficial. A sample viewpoint dropdown menu has also been supplied for you to run in the model and instructions for running this are also in the PDF user guide.

‘Your’ FREE terrain model

This section is a facility that ENVsupport is introducing (for a limited period) to allow you to have a FREE 3D Virtual Terrain Model of YOUR development area as shown below.

This FREE offer gives you BMP mapping draped over a LOW resolution, FULLY TRAVERSABLE, 3D VIRTUAL model of your proposed DEVELOPMENT AREA c/w a graduated Site Target Marker that will show the position of your developments location.
You will also receive the FREE viewer that allows you to run your VIRTUAL model and user guide on how to install, run and move around within the model

By supplying in the fields below, your NAME, EMAIL and O.S. ‘Easting & Northing’ coordinates ( e.g. 355000, 824000) of your development’s ‘proposed’ site location you will receive a fully “flyable” virtual model of your chosen area where you can explore potential site locations and view them from points on the terrain. By viewing the graduated Site Target Market (from ground level) you will be able to determine how much of your development is hidden or visible.

NOTE:
The 3D Models and animations are good quality and clearly show what your proposed development will look like in its chosen location this can be used to provide a “pretty” graphic for inclusion in documents, but it is important to recognise that when exploring these models and animations you can have a powerful DEVELOPMENT TOOL that can provide visible, and easily understood, verification of landscaping & screening to show the VISIBLE IMPACT of your development within the local community, and achieve this at MINIMUM modelling cost to the project.
